Ayer en conmemoración por el día de San Ramón, -el santo patrono que protege a las madres embarazadas- se inicio desde horas muy tempranas en nuestra localidad, en el acceso sur, en la parte trasera de la Capilla María Inmaculada Concepción la celebración con un chocolate para los niños, prosiguió al mediodía con un gran almuerzo comunitario, y así prosiguió durante todo el día con diferentes actividades, culminando el festejo con la presentación de diferentes grupos musicales.
El almuerzo comunitario, a espaldas del río Corrientes, consistió en locro y asado. Así mismo a las 16.00 horas tuvo lugar la procesión de este santo que año a año se lleva a cabo, además de una misa para los feligreses asistentes, como ya es costumbre en nuestra localidad. La procesión congrego a muchos fieles que asistieron para pedir por las madres embarazadas y otros para agradecerle al santo la gracia concebida.
La misa de dicha celebración eucarística estuvo a cargo en esta oportunidad del cura párroco Ramón Espinosa de la parroquia Santa Rita de Casias. Al término de la misa, para culminar esta tradicional celebración, el público esquinense asistió a una gran bailante la cual contó con la participación de variados conjuntos musicales contándose entre otros a, “36-15” y “El Atajo”.
